Most of this post is snipped for brevity. Just making a few points.

sjwiki:

the typical member of their community is an adolescent USAmerican Whitetrans man with little to no experience with the medical establishment, and has been out for a relatively short amount of time.

True. I would also say that it’s very much worth noting that there is a strong leaning towards people who have not transitioned; 20-30% aren’t trans at all, and only ~5% have had surgery. (source - same as SJWiki used, plus source).

But, this is also true of anti-truscum (evident in the second source I linked). It is something to keep in mind when seeing the community, but it’s equally applicable to each side.

Placing emphasis on dysphoria (often one’s own dysphoria) in order to invalidate non-binary identities is often framed as an attempt to validate binary trans identities at their expense.

False. Truscum is about dysphoria regardless of one’s identity. The majority of truscum believe in non-binary identifications anyway.

They attempt, consciously or unconsciously, to discredit and marginaliseother members of the transgender community in order to appear acceptable to people with cishet privilege, thus conforming to cisnormative standards as much as possible.

False. If this were the case, truscum would be against gender non-conforming people and partial medical transitions. Many truscum are themselves gender non-conforming or have elected to only take some of the medical options on offer.

Pathologising trans people, while extremely oppressive, grants truscum a form of legitimacy. Using the medical community’s definition, truscum have found a certain level of “acceptance” within institutions. In so much as the DSM (and other diagnostic manuals) allow them to request to have the operations, hormones, and other help they require.[6][7]

Legitimacy, yes, in the terms of, “this is definable as a medical condition because without treatment I am seriously impaired”. It is not extremely oppressive to say that people who need life-saving treatment need life-saving treatment.

However, the diagnostic criteria exclude many trans people, since it is by definition a requirement to experience gender dysphoria in order to be trans. So those who experience social dysphoria, who are non-binary, who are gender variant, and so on, but do notneed or want medical or clinical help (e.g., surgery, hormones, etc) are by definition not trans.[10]

If someone does not need or want medical help, then why are they destabilising those who do from being able to access it?

People who need medical help suffer immensely without it (often leading to suicide). People who need medical help are impaired by their Gender Dysphoria, and require that help in order to function.

It doesn’t really matter what those without Gender Dysphoria call themselves - just let those with the condition be able to be diagnosed and treated.

Transgender is (part of) the genderidentity of those who reject the binary gender they were assigned at birth (by the medical profession and society) and those who attempt to transcend the normative standards for gender presentation, gender role, and gender performance. Using any other definition is biologically, psychologically, and neuroscientifically untenable.

I propose there be two groups.

One group be transgender - those who are transcending normative standards for gender presentation, role, and performance.

The other be transsexual - those who are have a medical condition to do with their sex.

Truscum may refuse to use singular theywhen speaking with or about non-binary individuals as a form of misgendering.

Most will use the singular they if requested. As singular they is completely gender-neutral and can apply to anyone regardless of sex/gender, it is often used when there is a disagreement with someone, e.g. ‘they’ will be used rather than the requested neopronouns.

Many truscum side with trans-exclusionary radical feminists (TERFs) in their attempts to harm and oppress other trans people who disagree with their views.

Anti-truscum should make their minds up - one day truscum are all MRAs, and the next day everyone’s a TERF.

The truth is that truscum is very wide, so has people in every possible camp. Most 'Old Truscum’ are egalitarian, and there’s a lot of anti-feminism. 'New Truscum’ are a lot more pro-feminist.

Even then, supporters of TERFs are an absolute rarity, and where such attitudes do exist, it’s TERF-lite rather than full-out. I have never seen an all-out TERF trusum.

On the other hand, truscum almost invariably believe in neurological dimorphism: a highly problematic pseudoscientific belief that harms all people, especially women, regardless of what gender they were assigned at birth.

Problematic though it might be, it’s real. There’s physical sex dimorphism in the brain, and this creates behavioural sex dimorphism. However, a lot of the sex differences in behaviour are environmentally caused (by society), and men and women are more similar than they are different.
